Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry\-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical\-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical\-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. **Introduction** The primary purpose of a Physical Security role is to ensure the protection of our facilities through continuous monitoring, access control, and effective incident response within the premises. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe environment across all plant operations. **Key Responsibilities** * Monitor and operate surveillance systems across all facilities. * Adjust and reposition security cameras as needed. * Conduct security patrols and respond to motion alerts. * Supervise commercial entrances and ensure proper access control. * Supervise transportation buses and their safe operation. * Address issues related to turnstile access and functionality. * Support employees, contractors, and production teams in complying with company policies. * Prevent and respond to incidents of assault, illicit sales or purchases, and physical altercations. * Manage access for guests, visitors, and vendors. * Ensure proper registration and control of all external personnel entering the facilities. * Enforce company policies and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. **Requirements** * Experience operating alarm systems and responding to alerts. * Knowledge of camera technology and surveillance equipment is desirable. * Prior experience in physical or corporate security. * Understanding of customs and trade compliance requirements, including C\-TPAT and OEA standards in the U.S. and Mexico. * Knowledge of handling imported and exported goods. * Intermediate English proficiency, especially for email correspondence and written communication. * Availability to rotate shifts and relocate among different Corning locations in Reynosa. **A job that shapes a life.** **Corning offers you the total package.** Your well\-being is our priority.
