Como miembro del equipo de operaciones, el puesto de Técnico de Ensayos realiza una variedad de tareas de ensayo rutinarias y no rutinarias dentro del departamento asignado y garantiza resultados de ensayo precisos y oportunos bajo supervisión directa. Los puestos de técnico deben ser competentes en una serie de habilidades comerciales fundamentales, incluidas, entre otras, el cumplimiento de las normas de seguridad establecidas, el código de conducta y las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa.

Como miembro del equipo de operaciones, el puesto de Técnico IUT realiza una variedad de tareas de ensayo rutinarias y no rutinarias dentro del departamento asignado y garantiza resultados de ensayo precisos y oportunos bajo supervisión directa. Los puestos de Técnico IUT deben ser competentes en una serie de habilidades comerciales fundamentales, incluidas, entre otras, el cumplimiento de las normas de seguridad establecidas, el código de conducta y las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa.
Responsabilidades:
* Prepara especímenes de materiales para los ensayos
* Realiza ensayos según las especificaciones del cliente
* En ocasiones opera bajo la supervisión de un técnico de ensayos más experimentado y/o de un gerente de departamento
* Interactúa periódicamente con los clientes
* Programa la calibración interna de los equipos
* Recopila y registra los datos de los ensayos
* Construye y mantiene diversos dispositivos de ensayo y otros equipos de laboratorio para garantizar su correcto funcionamiento con mínima supervisión
Esta posición es responsable de actividades en el área de ultrasonidos que incluyen:
* Preparar las piezas para las pruebas correspondientes (manejo de material, limpieza / inspección visual / configuración)
* Realizar pruebas según lo indicado por las especificaciones del cliente y los documentos correspondientes (tarjeta de datos / técnicas / planes de escaneo)
* Realizar las revisiones y calibraciones internas diarias según lo indicado (cambios de agua / cambios de productos químicos / cambios de líquidos penetrantes)
* Asegurar el uso de equipos calibrados y el registro de los controles diarios
* Evaluar los resultados de las pruebas y generar los informes correspondientes
* Recopilar y registrar los datos de las pruebas para la generación de los certificados
* Mantener la trazabilidad de la prueba realizada (marcado correcto del número de serie o lo que corresponda)
* Capacitar a los aprendices en el método para el que está certificado, cuando así se indique
* Realizar los mantenimientos asignados a los equipos de su área, así como mantener en buen estado los equipos y herramientas para garantizar su funcionamiento adecuado
* Atender auditorías internas y externas del proceso
* Asistir a los cursos programados necesarios para el puesto (seguridad, calidad, manejo de materiales, capacitaciones técnicas)
* Mantener el índice de siniestralidad en cero, trabajando de forma segura con el equipo adecuado
* Mantener el área asignada limpia y ordenada (5S)
* Apoyar en otras áreas según sea indicado por la gerencia o el supervisor
Habilidades / Requisitos:
* Conocimiento práctico de la seguridad en laboratorios
* Se prefiere título de preparatoria o certificado GED. Se valorará cursar estudios universitarios o técnicos
* Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en un campo relacionado con los ensayos
* Analiza y compila los datos de los ensayos realizados
* Comprensión básica de los conceptos de ensayo
* Posee habilidades informáticas
* Capacidad para aplicar conceptos de álgebra y geometría básicas es un plus
Demandas físicas:
* Frecuencia de fuerza física requerida: mínima (moderada)
* Requisitos de levantamiento: levantar hasta 50 lb. ocasionalmente
* Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante largos períodos de tiempo
* Capacidad para levantar 50 lb. o más periódicamente
Competencias y habilidades:
* Conocimiento práctico de la seguridad del laboratorio
* Diploma de preparatoria o escuela técnica deseable
* Mínimo de 1 año de experiencia en un campo relacionado con las pruebas
* Análisis y recopilación de datos de las pruebas realizadas
* Comprensión básica de los conceptos de prueba
* Poseer habilidades informáticas (Windows y Office básico)
* Capacidad para aplicar conceptos de álgebra básica y geometría deseable
* Algo de experiencia en manejo de grúas y polipastos (no requerido)
* Atención a los detalles
* Capacidad para leer y escribir de forma descriptiva
