**Job Description** ------------------------- Fully comply with the operational safety plan at the worksite to ensure the safety of our employees and personnel within the airport, as well as carry out necessary adjustments for proper implementation and monitoring. **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Direct supervisor of operational safety officers on site. * Ensure implementation of the PSOO / DC\-PSOO, as applicable. (Operational Safety Plan) * Suspend ongoing work when the PSOO and/or DCPSOO is not complied with. * Assess planned work and its location, considering potential impacts on airport operations, for example: ✓ Critical sensitive areas and navigation and instrument landing aid protection zones (surveillance radars, VOR, ILS Glide Slope and Localizer, etc.) ✓ Runway and taxiway protection areas ✓ Obstacle Limitation Surfaces ✓ Visual aids ✓ Meteorological installations (wind direction indicators, RVR meters, cyclo-meters, anemometers...) ✓ Firefighting Service (FSS) facilities and access routes ✓ Electrical power distribution installations and lines ✓ Drainage system / sewers ✓ Among others. * Periodically conduct identification of specific conditions at each work zone location to incorporate them into the PSOO / DC\-PSOO if identified. * Keep the PSOO / DC\-PSOO updated and valid by making corresponding amendments. * Ensure all personnel associated with the project understand and apply the content of the PSOO / DC\-PSOO according to their level and involvement in its implementation. * Ensure the validity of the PSOO / DC\-PSOO in the event of possible alterations or modifications to the project and/or airport operations. * Manage, until resolution, all incidents related to PSOO implementation that come to attention, regardless of the means of identification. * Identify any project-related activities that impact or could impact safe aircraft operations. * Communicate and coordinate with Airport Management regarding special circumstances during project execution requiring issuance of a NOTAM. * Prepare all necessary reports related to PSOO requirements. * Ensure the work zone and its surrounding area are safe for operations through necessary inspections after each work shift and before final opening. * Attend and participate in all operational safety meetings related to the project, as well as any convened by the airport or associated external supervision company. * Continuously supervise contractor activities and identify any interference they may have with operations. * Mandatory reporting of all unsafe events and consequences observed or identified to the airport's Incident Reporting System within no more than 24 hours after occurrence. * Mandatory reporting to the Incident Reporting System of all hazards identified that the contractor has not addressed within 24 hours; at most within 48 hours after identification. **Position Challenges** -------------------- * Internally lead and manage all safety processes required by the airport to carry out a project onsite; otherwise, it could result in federal (legal) issues for the company. * Direct supervisor of 2 operations officers and maintain contact with the airport control tower, which authorizes machinery access and air traffic. * Ensure all personnel associated with the project understand the operational safety plan and engage according to their individual job responsibilities. * Mandatory reporting of all unsafe events to the airport's incident reporting system within no more than 24 hours. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: * Bachelor’s degree: Aeronautical Engineering. * English language proficiency: Advanced / Advanced technical and business English Required Experience: * 2 years of experience working on projects within an airport. * Operational Safety Management System course. * Operational Safety course on the airside. * Operational Safety in Construction Projects course. * Supervisory experience. * Ability to work under pressure Required Knowledge: * Engineering, Construction, Project Management..
