Within this context, the key responsibilities of this role include: * Sort all dirty laundry, weigh it, and load it onto the appropriate carts. * Load and operate washing machines and dryers according to recommended capacity and manufacturer guidelines. * Unload laundry; iron and fold items according to department standards. * Record weights and quantities of washed and dried items. * Sort and separate damaged or stained clothing for repair or use as rags. * Report to management any required repairs or unsafe conditions. * Monitor and control supplies, minimizing waste within the laundry area. * Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Clean lint filters of dryers daily; inspect and clean drains as necessary. * Use all cleaning products and chemicals safely and in accordance with product instructions. * Follow lost and found procedures, ensuring proper recovery and handling of items found in bed linens or guest laundry. * Maintain respect for guest confidentiality and personal belongings. * Greet each guest with a smile and appropriate greeting, using the guest’s name whenever possible. Respond kindly to guest requests. * Make suggestions to improve overall operations, focusing on increasing guest satisfaction, revenue, and cost reduction. * Demonstrate and uphold at all times the core standards of Auberge Resorts. * Work in accordance with hotel and department safety standards. * Use all hotel equipment safely and appropriately. * Participate in and support hotel and company sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of the Planet Auberge program. **Requirements** * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on department needs. * Excellent communication skills. * Strong attention to detail. * High school graduate or equivalent. **Additional Information** Auberge Resorts Collection is a portfolio of extraordinary hotels, resorts, residences, and private clubs.
