Join our team to continue building our success story together. **Job Description** -------------------------- As a Cook II, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes—including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts—for our valued guests. In addition to menu execution, this role involves ordering supplies, maintaining records and accounts, setting prices for menu items, and planning menus—allowing you to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity.**Job Functions and Responsibilities** -------------------------------------------- * Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes, following recipes and presentation standards. * Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment, adhering to all local and federal food safety and handling regulations. * Order and maintain appropriate levels of kitchen supplies while managing inventory and minimizing waste. * Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop new menu items, ensuring variety and creativity in offerings. * Oversee and adjust menu pricing, considering food costs, market trends, and competitors. * Maintain accurate required records, including food production, inventory, and accounts. * Coordinate the work of other cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation of dishes. * Train junior team members on food preparation, presentation, and safety standards, fostering a positive learning environment. * Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned. **Work Experience** ----------------------- * Requires experience across a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and substantial on-the-job experience. * Typically acts as a leader, coordinating the work of others but not serving as a supervisor. * Works autonomously within established procedures and practices. * Has 4–5 years of work experience. **Competencies** ---------------- Business acumen Advocating for guest needs Self-development Impact Interpersonal skills Functional job knowledge Leadership Problem solving Teamwork and collaboration Accountability**Education** ------------- * High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. * A combination of education and experience will be considered. **Certifications** ------------------- * Certifications may be required or preferred.
