The Quality Coordinator will oversee inspections, audits, process control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement actions, guaranteeing product consistency, safety, and traceability throughout the entire production chain. **Key Responsibilities** ***1. Quality Management System Administration*** * Implement and maintain quality management systems aligned with industry-specific regulations for the wood sector, including moisture control, species classification, dimensional stability, and compliance with FSC standards. * Ensure procedures account for wood’s unique characteristics as a living material: variability, environmental responses, treatment, and preservation. ***2. Production Process Control and Supervision*** * Verify raw material quality (natural wood, MDF, particleboard, plywood, veneers, melamine), assessing moisture content, defects, deformations, and origin certifications. * Supervise quality controls during cutting, calibration, pressing, assembly, CNC machining, sanding, veneering, and finishing application. * Validate compliance with critical parameters: absorption, mechanical strength, moisture resistance, fire resistance (FR), coating adhesion, and color uniformity. ***3. Inspections, Audits, and Deviation Analysis*** * Coordinate internal process inspections and external audits related to FSC, EPD, and INTERTEK (FR). * Identify root causes of common failures in the wood sector, such as swelling, delamination, chipping, tone variation, coating failures, or structural deformations. * Implement corrective and preventive actions specifically tailored to wood-based materials and panels. ***4. Documentation and Certifications*** * Manage and update procedures, work instructions, forms, and records of the quality management system applied to the wood industry. * Maintain current forest, environmental, and safety certifications validating responsible sourcing and product conformity. ***5. Interdepartmental Coordination*** * Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure wood and finishing suppliers meet technical specifications. * Review technical data sheets, laboratory test reports, and samples of new wood-sector materials prior to approval. ***6. Performance Indicators and Monitoring*** * Monitor key KPIs such as wood waste, rework due to natural or process-related defects, finish quality, rejections due to variability, and audit results. * Propose improvements focused on raw material utilization efficiency, reduction of yield loss, and optimization of moisture control and storage. **Statutory Benefits** * IMSS and INFONAVIT registration * 15-day year-end bonus * 25% vacation premium Position Type: Full-time Salary: $18,000.00 – $21,000.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
