Description

Job Summary: Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of assemblies, inspecting vehicles, ensuring cargo integrity, and adherence to designated routes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Safe and efficient transportation of assemblies 2. Vehicle inspection and maintenance 3. Knowledge of routes and safety procedures Efficiently and safely transport assemblies to VWM using vans, tow cars, and dollies. Inspect vehicle functionality according to checklist items. Verify and secure placement of: bolts, locks, door pins, and rods. Ensure transportation of assemblies from T&W facilities to VWM Plant. Inspect/ensure return of empty dollies — "NO VWM PRODUCTION MATERIAL ALLOWED" — must be authorized with signatures from H. Guarantee and Driver. "SHARED RESPONSIBILITY": In case of returning assemblies to T&W Plant, supervisor accompaniment is required to ensure departure from VWM; upon arrival at T&W Plant, a full stop must be made at the entrance and Security notified to verify assembly return. Knowledge of VWM facilities, entry/exit routes, alternate and/or emergency routes; cleaning, preservation, and maintenance of transport unit.
