




Position Summary: The Human Resources Assistant for UNDP in Mexico delivers HR services, ensuring transparency, integrity, and a collaborative approach. Key Highlights: 1. UNDP in Mexico includes among its objectives the management of human resources and the execution of procedures and guidelines established under UNDP regulations and policies. In this context, UNDP requires the recruitment of a Human Resources Assistant whose objective is to deliver the full range of HR services, ensuring their transparency and integrity. The Human Resources Assistant promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach and fosters high staff morale. **Duties and Responsibilities** 1. Support the effective implementation of HR strategies. * Ensure full compliance of HR processes and records with United Nations and UNDP rules, regulations, policies, and strategies. * In consultation with the direct supervisor and office management, provide input for mapping CO business processes and developing content for internal HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when required in CO to supplement SOPs issued by GSSC/OHR. 2. Support the implementation of human resources services for the CO, including recruitment and staffing. * Draft job descriptions and vacancy announcements, compile matrices, and serve as Secretary to interview panels for actions delegated to CO. Provide support in preparing documentation for submission to GSSC for non-delegated actions. * Track all transactions related to positions, recruitment, benefits, earnings/deductions, retroactivity, recoveries, adjustments, and separations through ERP. * Support timely contract management actions, in consultation with the direct supervisor. * Update the CO roster list as appropriate. * Provide information on expense recovery invoices in the institutional resource planning system for HR services provided by UNDP to other agencies. * Maintain an appropriate filing system for HR records and documents. * Provide administrative HR support for the effective delivery of HR services to UNDP and associated agencies. 3. Support effective staff performance management, talent management, and professional development in the CO. * Provide background information to formal CO management groups responsible for collectively reviewing and discussing CO staff performance, talent, and development needs. Serve as Secretary to panels when required. * Provide basic input for drafting the learning plan for the entire CO. 4. Support knowledge building and knowledge sharing within the CO. * Participate in training for operations/project staff on HR topics and all relevant matters. * Make substantive contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice. Experience in staff recruitment processes. Experience in administrative personnel management processes. Experience in UN agencies or UNDP. Experience conducting competency-based interviews.
