Contribute to epidemiological surveillance and pest eradication **JOB DESCRIPTION:** Participate in trapping and diagnostic activities for the fly *Cochliomyia hominivorax*, with the purpose of supporting epidemiological surveillance, preventing its spread, and assisting eradication or containment strategies in affected or at-risk areas. **JOB REQUIREMENTS:** 1. Hold a High School Diploma or possess knowledge of agricultural sciences 2. Experience: One year of work experience **FUNCTIONS** 1. Assist in assembling traps for detection and control of the fly *C. hominivorax.* 2. Conduct field surveys to identify strategic locations for trap installation, ensuring that routes identified by Zone Coordinators are viable. 3. Install traps to support detection and control activities for the fly *C. hominivorax.* 4. Perform trap inspection and monitoring for detection and control of the fly *C. hominivorax.* 5. Assist in trap maintenance to ensure proper functionality. 6. Collect fly specimens captured during trapping so they may be analyzed by diagnostic technicians to determine the presence or absence of the fly *C. hominivorax.* 7. Complete cattle screwworm (CSW) risk assessment forms to generate standardized information and support decision-making for surveillance, detection, and control activities. 8. Enter information related to trap installation and inspection into the SARTec application to ensure recording and tracking of activities. **COMPETENCIES** 1. Problem-solving 2. Teamwork 3.
