Summary: The Operations Manager will lead the launch and long-term success of a new production facility in Queretaro, building teams and ensuring safe, high-quality production. Highlights: 1. Establish strong safety and quality culture The Operations Manager leads the launch and long\-term success of the company's new production facility in Queretaro. The plant is currently in the early stages equipment installation. Over the next several years it will move through prototype, PPAP, and full rate production with strong year over year growth. This person will build the leadership team, strengthen capability, and ensure the operation safely produces high\-quality parts on time and at the right cost. This role sets the culture, builds community reputation, and helps the site become a trusted part of the company's global operations. **Core Values:** * **Honesty**: Communicates with transparency, clarity, and fairness * **Excellence**: Sets high standards and builds processes that deliver strong results * **Accountability**: Takes ownership for outcomes and follow through * **Respect**: Treats every person with dignity, patience, and fairness * **Teamwork**: Builds trust, collaboration, and shared success across shifts and functions * **Support**: Helps people grow, removes barriers, and ensures a safe workplace **Key Responsibilities** **Leadership and Plant Culture** * Build a manufacturing team that works with clarity, trust, honesty, respect, teamwork, and support * Develop supervisors, engineers, and key leaders through coaching and competence\-based growth plans * Create a safe and welcoming environment where people can develop long\-term careers * Strengthens community reputation by modeling fairness, presence on the floor, and steady leadership **Operational Planning and Daily Execution** * Lead daily manufacturing operations including production, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality, and materials flow * Translate goals into simple routines, priorities, and measures that guide each shift * Build labor models and capacity plans that support significant year over year growth * Maintain stable production while preparing for higher volumes and customer demand **Greenfield Launch and Ramp Up** * Lead start\-up activities including equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, training, and readiness reviews * Establish standard work, visual controls, and disciplined production systems from the ground up * Collaborate with Global operations, engineering, quality, and commercial teams to align global standards with local execution * Guide the team through fast learning curves while protecting safety, quality, and schedule commitments **Safety, Quality, and Compliance** * Maintain a strong safety culture aligned with STPS expectations and Flexfab standards * Ensure all operations meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements * Support audits, certifications, and environmental permits * Strengthen process control and reduce variation as volume grows **Labor Environment and Employee Relations** * Build positive labor relations through fairness, consistency, and clear communication * Support the development of employee committees and compliance with Mexican labor regulations * Ensure accurate and timely compliance with IMSS and all required labor practices * Create stable work rules and shift structures that support attraction and retention **Continuous Improvement** * Use Lean tools, value stream thinking, and disciplined problem solving * Build root cause capability across operators, technicians, and leaders * Promote daily improvement that strengthens flow, cost, and quality **Cost, Budget, and Resource Management** * Build budgets and operating plans aligned with commercial demand and growth * Manage labor, scrap, overtime, material efficiency, and productivity * Recommend capital investments that improve safety, capacity, and cost position **Communication and Collaboration** * Partner with commercial, engineering, finance, IT, HR, quality, and supply chain teams * Communicate risks, needs, and progress with honesty and clarity * Strengthen alignment with Flexfab’s global operations **Qualifications** ***Required*** * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or related field * Ten or more years of experience in automotive manufacturing * Five or more years in plant or multi\-area leadership * Bilingual Spanish and English * Visa to travel to the US (Required) * Direct experience launching new operations or scaling high\-growth facilities * Strong planning, budgeting, and problem\-solving skills * Knowledge of Mexican labor law, IMSS processes, and STPS safety regulations * Experience working in multiple\-shift operations ***Preferred*** * Experience in hose, rubber, plastics, extrusion, or forming operations * Experience in global or multi\-plant manufacturing environments * Master’s Degree Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $1\.00 \- $2\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Are you able to have a fluent conversation in English? * Do you have a valid visa to travel to the US?
