Job Summary: The General Assistant operates a Storage Terminal facility, following technical, safety, and environmental procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform loading and unloading operations of petroleum products using systems such as product loading/unloading arms, among others, at the Storage Terminal, including inspection, startup, shutdown, and taking equipment out of service for maintenance during their shift; * Monitor and control equipment operational variables, open and/or close valves according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain assigned operations within functional standards; * Know and execute activities specific to the different operating modes of the terminal’s facilities; * Carry out pressurization, depressurization, inventorying, and de-inventorying of pipelines and equipment; * Execute additive dosing processes, oxygenate blending with gasoline, and diesel blending during product loading, maintaining control over petroleum product quality; * Adjust operational variables (temperature, pressure, vacuum, level, flow rate, and/or product transfer) to maintain processes at required levels or correct issues; * Take samples to verify product quality, perform control tests, record results, and note any problems; * Implement the Car Seal philosophy on manual valves at the terminal in accordance with the established annual plan; * Perform assigned operations and record measurements of operational variables of product loading and unloading equipment. Report equipment and valve malfunctions, as well as unusual trends or conditions, in the operational logbook and to their supervisor; * Use data loggers to collect real-time process information from various terminal equipment and processes, and report such information; * Carry out all work in accordance with applicable safety procedures, using appropriate safety devices and equipment; * Participate in developing operating procedures and work instructions; * Identify potential environmental risk scenarios arising from their activities and assess the probability of occurrence for each scenario to prevent environmental damage and ensure mitigation; * Operate heavy machinery to carry out maneuvers in the rail yard; * Follow requirements of the Integrated Management System (IMS); * Attend scheduled and mandatory training to enhance job performance; * May be required to report to work outside regular hours during emergency situations or extraordinary operational conditions at the terminal; * Participate in Emergency Response Team activities and support the Emergency Response Team Leader. REQUIREMENTS Education: Technical Degree and/or Completed High School. Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in the industrial and/or chemical sector.
