Solve complex problems where no precedence exists **POSITION SUMMARY** The SFA (Special Feature Authorization) Electrical Engineer will contribute to the design and release of customizations to chillers; will work in a cross\-functional development group; managing a variety of tasks and activities are required in this dynamic environment; solve complex problems where no precedence exists.o precedence exists. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Create and revise unit wiring schematics and network connection drawings * Create and review electric panel layouts following relevant codes and standards * Create and revise wire harnesses * Check and approve drawings and bill of materials * Work with software team to develop and verify CRAC system controls * Work with development scientist to validate setup of new electrical customizations * Participate in identification of cost reduction opportunities and in the design and development of cost reduction changes * Implement product changes to solve field issues, support service department **QUALIFICATIONS** **Minimum Job Qualifications:** * Minimum 2\-4 years of experience in an electrical engineering field. * Ability to work and multi\-task in a fast\-paced environment independently and as a member of a dynamic team; offer and receive constructive criticism * Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members * Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for phases of the product development process * Excellent project management skills and communication skills, both written and verbal * Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred CREO 4\.0 and greater * Knowledge of NEC (NFPA79\), IEEE 519, UL 508A SB **Preferred Qualifications:** * Preferred 4\-8 years of experience in an HVAC related electrical engineering field: experience with Chillers preferred * Experience with PLM systems (BOM management and change order release) * Experience working closely with associates in manufacturing engineering and production roles * Knowledge of UL60335\-2\-40 or equivalent CSA/UL standards * Understanding electrical schematic layout and creation * Experience with communications and interconnects standards and protocols including RS485, CAN, and Ethernet **EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS** * Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** * Light Lifting (5 Ibs.\-25 Ibs.) * Frequent Standing * Frequent kneeling / crawling / stooping * Frequent bending / twisting **ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS** * Protective Equipment Required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, cut resistant sleaves) **TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED** * (None) \#LI\-LL1
