Maintenance of hygiene and food safety **Job Objective** To prepare and present food at SARDE restaurant in accordance with established standards for quality, flavor, hygiene, and presentation, ensuring a consistent dining experience for guests and supporting proper kitchen operations. **Main Responsibilities and Functions** * Prepare dishes according to recipes, technical sheets, and restaurant standards. * Adhere to service timing and maintain quality during peak operational periods. * Perform daily mise en place (preparations, cutting, sauces, garnishes). * Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper sanitation of work area. * Control portions to prevent shrinkage and waste. * Assist in inventory control and rotation (FIFO). * Report shortages, shrinkage, or incidents to the head chef. * Comply with hygiene and food safety regulations (NOM-251). * Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure an integrated guest experience. **Desired Experience** * Minimum 1–2 years as a cook in formal or casual-dining restaurants. * Experience in hot and/or cold kitchen stations (depending on assigned station). * Prior experience in restaurants emphasizing quality, presentation, and attention to detail is desirable. **Offer** * Net salary: $12,000.00 * Weekly tips: approx. $2,000–$2,500 * Statutory benefits * Two days off per week Employment type: Full-time, probationary period Contract duration: 3 months Salary: $12,000.00 per month Benefits: * Savings fund * Gym discount * Option for indefinite-term contract * Complimentary uniforms Work location: On-site employment
