Functions and responsibilities
* Direct medical liaison: Maintain fluid, constant, and direct communication with the medical department to expedite treatment adjustments or urgent interventions.
* Geriatric Clinical Management and Supervision
Care coordination: Lead comprehensive health care for older adults under a strict human rights-based approach.
Medication control: Meticulously supervise the correct preparation and administration of medications according to each resident’s geriatric regimen.
Regulatory compliance: Ensure all nursing treatments and procedures comply with current health regulations.
Guideline development: Design, update, and implement new internal clinical care protocols.
Medical transfers: Coordinate with nursing staff the logistical and safe accompaniment of residents to external clinical appointments or emergencies.
* Personnel and Resource Management
Role planning: Design monthly shift schedules, on-call duties, and activity timetables for the entire operational team under supervision.
Supply management: Monitor, calculate, and generate periodic requests for wound care materials, medical equipment, and nursing supplies.
Social service management: Coordinate planning, role assignment, continuous training, and evaluations of social service providers or university students.
Technical reporting: Generate mandatory logs, administrative incident reports, and health status reports for the population.
