Medical Consultation and Emergency Care** The general physician will be responsible for: * Preparing a complete patient medical history. * Performing an appropriate physical examination based on the reason for consultation. * Issuing timely medical diagnoses. * Prescribing medical treatment or referring patients to another level of care when necessary. * Documenting medical notes in accordance with **NOM\-004\-SSA3\-2012 (Clinical Record)**. **2\. Clinical Procedures** * Interpreting laboratory and imaging studies. * Performing sutures and wound dressings. * Inserting urinary catheters when clinically indicated. **3\. Short-Term Observation (< 12 hours)** In cases requiring medical observation, the physician must: * Document admission notes. * Prepare a complete medical history. * Perform a full physical examination. * Issue a medical diagnosis. * Prescribe management and care during observation. * Monitor the patient’s clinical evolution. * Document progress notes and discharge notes. **4\.
