Position Objective: Maintain all assigned company personnel within established health standards. Responsibilities: * Implement industrial hygiene programs to reduce blood lead levels. * Develop plans and programs to decrease absenteeism due to general illness. * Coordinate and provide medical services. * Ensure legal compliance in health matters. * Verify and eliminate health hazards. * Know and ensure compliance with procedures, operational controls, and/or work instructions of the safety and environmental management system applicable to their work area and those under their responsibility. * Know, respect, and adhere to the provisions outlined in the Blood Lead Manual. * Personnel statistics. * Standardized forms for Hygiene Administration. * Training and/or updates on Hygiene matters. * Budget for periodic examinations, workplace microenvironment, and perimeter assessments. * Industrial hygiene statistics. * Reduction of absenteeism due to general illness. * Reduction of plant risk premium indices. * Improvement of the work environment. * Know, implement, and ensure compliance with the following systems: Quality, Safety, Hygiene and Health, Environmental, SA8000, and High-Performance Teams (HPTs), as current at the time of this document’s review and according to the scope of their position. * Report—and, if necessary, immediately halt—any activities identified as posing risks to personnel safety and facility integrity and/or employee health. * Participate, when required, in investigations of occupational health and safety incidents. Requirements: * Education: General Physician or Medical Surgeon. * Specialization in Occupational Medicine / Work Medicine. * Conversational English (80%). * Occupational medicine (basic and advanced nursing, first aid). * Hazardous substance handling. * Hazardous waste management. * Medical-surgical emergencies. * Laws and regulations related to safety and ecology. * ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. * Safety systems. * Laws and regulations related to health. * ISO 45001. #LI-EA1 About Clarios: Clarios is the global leader in advanced, low-voltage battery technologies for mobility.
