This is your opportunity to join STRATTEC as a **Material Expeditor** **Objective**: Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet weekly production schedules, thereby ensuring satisfaction of both external and internal customers, while minimizing transportation and inventory handling costs, and preventing obsolescence costs. **Key Responsibilities**: * Confirm supplier ASNs. * Generate air shipment forms for approval. * Perform the following activities in coordination with the Production Control Supervisor: Participate in decisions regarding rejected or defective materials to expedite their replacement; communicate material arrivals to all stakeholders to achieve: fastest possible importation into Juárez; scheduling and expediting of required material inspections. * Participate in and promote idea generation to foster a corporate culture of continuous improvement across production, administrative, and support processes. * Plan purchase orders for bought-out components. * Plan Outside Processing and manually managed Commodities. * Publish and communicate material shortages occurring in production, as well as those anticipated over the next two weeks. * Track delayed shipments in the box score. * Track and generate the Hot List for purchased and/or manufactured parts. * Set up suppliers in the Vendor Schedule. * Maintain constant communication with suppliers. **Requirements and Knowledge**: * Engineering degree or Bachelor’s degree (any field) or students in final semesters * Advanced English — mandatory * 1 year of experience in materials * Productive Administration, Planning and Control * AS400 system (preferred) * Inventory control * Excel This position is based at Plant 1, located in the Aztecas Industrial Park; the plant’s primary activity is the production of automotive components.
