Your primary mission will be to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency by meticulously preparing the sterile environment, expertly handling surgical instruments, and providing direct assistance during interventions. You will serve as the surgeon’s right hand, ensuring every step of the operation proceeds smoothly and without interruption. **Key Responsibilities** * **Sterile Field Preparation:** Organize the operating room with the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment according to the type of surgery and the surgeon’s preferences. * **Intraoperative Assistance:** Anticipate and promptly deliver instruments, sutures, and materials to the surgeon with speed and precision. * **Safety Monitoring:** Conduct, together with the circulating nurse, rigorous counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgery to prevent adverse events. * **Patient Care:** Assist with patient positioning and ensure maintenance of asepsis at all times. * **Specimen Handling:** Correctly identify, label, and preserve biological specimens obtained during the procedure. * **Postoperative Management:** Clean and disinfect the surgical area, and prepare instruments for sterilization in accordance with institutional protocols. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with valid professional license and registration. * **Specialization:** Specialization or diploma in **Surgical Nursing**. * **Technical Skills:** * In-depth mastery of aseptic and antiseptic techniques. * Advanced knowledge of anatomy, surgical timelines, and specialized instrumentation. * Proficiency in handling electrosurgical equipment (e.g., laparoscopy, electrocautery). **Soft Skills** * **Anticipation:** Ability to "read" the procedure and stay one step ahead of the surgeon. * **Composure:** Maintain calmness and precision in emergency or high-acuity situations. * **Assertive Communication:** Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams under high-stress conditions. * **Professional Ethics:** Unwavering commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Benefits package exceeding statutory requirements. * Ongoing training opportunities in emerging surgical technologies. * A professional, highly collaborative work environment.
