




Job Summary: We are seeking a General Services Assistant for a private hospital, responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas—including offices, patient rooms, and critical zones—as well as handling waste. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cleaning and maintenance of various hospital areas 2. Handling of hazardous waste and municipal garbage 3. Support during emergencies and compliance with safety regulations A private hospital is currently seeking: General Services Assistant Duties: 1\. Clean offices. 2\. Clean patient rooms. 3\. Perform thorough cleaning in critical areas—Intensive Care Units, Neonatal Units, Operating Rooms, Emergency Departments, and Neonatal Intensive Care Units—as well as in patient rooms when required by the Epidemiology Department. 4\. Clean outsourced service areas. 5\. Inspect areas for indoor, outdoor, and critical-area (Intensive Care Units, Neonatal Units, Operating Rooms, Emergency Departments, and Neonatal Intensive Care Units) fumigation. 6\. Attend monthly meetings with staff according to the scheduled program. 7\. Maintain public restrooms clean and in good condition. 8\. Keep the street surrounding the hospital swept and clean. 9\. Inspect and control areas generating hazardous waste. 10\. Collect biological infectious hazardous waste (B.I.H.W.) from various generating departments during each shift’s designated hours. 11\. Collect hazardous waste for deposit into the temporary storage area and perform weekly washing. 12\. Collect municipal solid waste and record its weight. 13\. Deposit soiled linen into the designated laundry bins located in the cleaning rooms. 14\. Perform cleaning activities during emergencies (supporting staff) in other areas. 15\. Assist staff during periods of high workload (e.g., Operating Room). 16\. Properly handle and maintain materials and supplies assigned for tasks. 17\. Maintain cleaning accessory carts and garbage carts in good condition. 18\. Keep service carts clean and in good working order. 19\. Comply with the International Patient Safety Goals within the scope of responsibility, with emphasis on Goals 1, 5, and 6.
