**Job Description** At **Sohersa BIM**, we are seeking an **HVAC and Ventilation Designer** to join our engineering team, responsible for the **design and development of air conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust systems**, participating in building and industrial projects in coordination with multidisciplinary teams and under a technical and methodological approach. This position targets professionals with hands-on HVAC design experience who **understand how their decisions impact construction**, and who are interested in working under a **BIM methodology**, where design is validated, coordinated, and managed using digital tools. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop HVAC system design, including: * Air conditioning. * Mechanical ventilation. * Air exhaust and replacement. * Prepare drawings, diagrams, schematics, and technical reports. * Perform **thermal and ventilation calculations**, as well as equipment selection. * Size ducts, grilles, diffusers, fans, and equipment. * Define routing paths and technical solutions compatible with architecture and structure. * Apply **current regulations** for HVAC and ventilation systems. * Coordinate design with other MEP disciplines. * Incorporate adjustments arising from technical reviews and coordination processes. * Support accurate interpretation of the design for on-site execution. **Regulatory Framework and Design Criteria** Project development must consider, among others: * Local and state **Construction Regulations**. * Applicable **Mexican Official Standards (NOM)** for mechanical installations. * **Complementary Technical Standards** for installations. * Standards and best practices such as **ASHRAE**. * Criteria for thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency. **Mandatory Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. * **Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience** in **HVAC and ventilation design**. * Experience preparing drawings and technical documentation. * Solid knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust systems. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** for drawing development. * Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. **Desirable Knowledge (Highly Valued)** * **Experience or knowledge of Revit (MEP)** for HVAC modeling. * Experience or interest in working under **BIM methodology**. * Understanding of the relationship between 2D drawings and 3D models. * Use of **HVAC calculation software**, such as: * **Elite CHVAC (Elite Software)**. * Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, EnergyPlus, or similar software. * Knowledge or experience with **Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)** for: * Model and drawing review. * Tracking comments, issues, and revisions. * Collaborative work in shared data environments (CDE). * **On-site experience**, whether in supervision, technical support, or addressing adjustments during construction.
