Job Summary: Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing monitoring platforms using PRTG and NinjaRMM, ensuring effective alerting and providing continuous support. Key Highlights: 1. Continuous improvement, reduction of false positives, and internal/external support. **Purpose of the Role:** Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the monitoring platform using PRTG and NinjaRMM, ensuring alerts reach the correct teams and individuals on time and without noise. Provides support for the monitoring and alerting stack: service continuity, resolution of monitoring system incidents, urgent threshold and notification routing adjustments, and SLA/MTTR compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Monitoring platforms (PRTG/NinjaRMM):** install, configure, update; manage policies and scripts. * **Sensors and thresholds:** create sensors per physical server/VM (VMware), network, storage, backups, and applications; **aligned with SLAs**. * **Alerting:** define severity, thresholds, contact matrices, **escalation rules**, and channels (SMTP, Teams, ITSM tickets, SMS, webhooks). * **Dashboards & reporting:** implement dashboards per department/client; **live inventory** of devices/sensors; reports on **availability and SLA compliance**. * **Multi‑tenant:** ensure **logical separation** of monitoring data per client. * **Operational noise:** **reduce false positives** through periodic tuning of thresholds and sensors. * **Documentation:** maintain an up‑to‑date **alert catalog** and **runbooks** for configuration and integration. * **Internal team support:** respond to requests from Infrastructure/Operations/Network/Security/Projects teams and **advise on best practices**. * **Service onboarding:** coordinate the integration of new equipment/services into the monitoring framework from the design phase. * **Client support (MSP):** configure per tenant, define which alerts each client receives, and deliver reports. * **Continuous improvement:** evaluate coverage, propose new integrations/functionality, and participate in **post‑mortems** to refine monitoring. * **Compliance:** adhere to applicable **ISMS** policies, procedures, and controls. **Job Requirements:** **Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field** * Specialized courses in monitoring and systems administration * ITIL Foundation certification preferred * Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) * Automation tools experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) preferred * Familiarity with cloud services * Basic information security knowledge . Minimum 3 years’ experience administering monitoring platforms (PRTG, NinjaRMM, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
