Job description At Workana, we are looking for a **Junior Advanced Data Governance \& Data Scientist** to join the data team of one of our clients: "A Mexican company dedicated to improving health and quality of life through pharmaceutical and personal care products." **About the role**: We seek a candidate to provide operational support in data management, control, and documentation within the analytics team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with tasks related to data governance, quality, and compliance, ensuring the integrity and traceability of information used in analytical and business processes. This is an ideal role for someone at the early stage of their data career—curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about governance, quality, consistency, and data flow. **Main responsibilities:** * Ensure data catalog quality and integrity by monitoring and correcting inconsistencies, duplicates, and other structural issues. * Design and implement processes for data normalization and cleansing (both descriptions and structures). * Document and maintain up-to-date business rules, data flows, and lineage in corporate catalogs. * Execute automated validations and support development of tools to harmonize catalogs using statistical analysis or fuzzy matching. * Participate in creating reports ensuring data traceability using Business Intelligence tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or others). * Collaborate in implementing standards related to data privacy regulations. **Requirements** **Requisitos:** * Professional degree in **Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (mandatory).** * Minimum **2 years of experience manipulating and analyzing data with SQL.** * Strong **Python** skills for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis. * Solid knowledge of relational databases (**SQL**), advanced queries, and **uniqueness validation** (unique IDs). * Knowledge of data modeling platforms: **Snowflake.** * Mandatory experience with **Apache Airflow and Cloud Computing.** * Required experience with data control and versioning: **Github/Git.** * Basic knowledge of **docker and REST APIs.** * Basic knowledge of **Machine Learning** (anomaly detection or quality). * Ability to learn quickly and adapt to technical environments. * Teamwork and strong communication skills with business and technology areas. * Proactivity and orientation toward continuous improvement. * **Attention to detail and rigor** in information handling. **Benefits** **Contractual conditions:** * **Work mode:** 100% remote. * **Working hours:** Full-time (8 hours/day). * **Compensation:** between 1\.000 and 1\.200 USD monthly. * **Contract type:** Service Provision Contract via Workana. * **Duration:** 12 months, with possibility of renewal based on strong performance.
