**Join our team as a Field Technician!**
An accredited environmental laboratory seeks a professional in environmental sciences to collaborate as a Field Technician.
You will be responsible for executing sampling and on-site measurement programs with precision, ensuring all processes comply with high-quality standards and environmental regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct water and food sampling, and in\-situ perimeter noise measurements, following established protocols (NOM, NMX, EPA).
* Collection, preservation, and documentation of samples (water, soil, air, waste) at various facilities or contaminated sites.
* Preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment required for each sampling activity.
* Ensure proper chain-of-custody procedures and secure packaging of samples for safe transport, as well as integrity of regulatory analyses.
* Document and generate comprehensive, legible measurement reports and relevant findings.
**Required Profile and Skills:**
* **Academic Background:** Technical or university degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or related fields.
* **Regulatory Knowledge:** Familiarity with, and ability to apply, local and federal environmental legislation (e.g., SEMARNAT standards in Mexico regarding wastewater discharges or emissions).
* **Physical and Technical Skills:** Ability to operate portable measurement equipment, calibrate instruments, and perform tasks under varying environmental conditions.
* **Experience:** Minimum of 6 months, verifiable.
**Main Functions:**
* **Sampling:** Collection of wastewater, fixed emission source, ambient air, and soil samples using standardized techniques.
* **Preservation and Chain of Custody:** Packaging, labeling, and refrigeration of samples per protocol, ensuring they remain unaltered prior to arrival at the laboratory.
* **In-situ Measurements:** Real-time measurement of physicochemical parameters (pH, conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen).
* **Reporting:** Meticulous completion of field logs and chain-of-custody forms to support the legal and analytical validity of tests.
**Technical Knowledge:**
* Operation of sampling and measurement equipment (multiparametric meters, pH meters, conductivity meters, sound level meters).
* Basic knowledge of chemistry and good laboratory practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel is essential).
* GPS operation; familiarity with the geography of CDMX and its metropolitan area.

* Attention to detail and rigor in documentation.
* Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic, outdoor environments.
* Strong verbal communication skills and effective interpersonal communication.

* Adaptability and empathy.
***Minimum 6-month experience handling standard transmission vehicles is mandatory (a driving test will be administered); valid driver's license required.***
