**Description** JOB OBJECTIVE Carry out domestic work, cleaning, and tidying activities in accordance with hygiene standards, ensuring that public and staff areas are well-maintained. RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS Wash, iron, and perform other domestic tasks. Support the cook (washing, cleaning the kitchen, etc.). Sweep and mop floors. Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as needed. Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and fill drinking water containers. Ensure restrooms are properly stocked with toilet paper, soap, and condoms. Check that water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water outages. Ensure facilities are properly secured with locks (doors, windows). SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE MSF SECTION / CONTEXT Clean the refrigerator biweekly, avoiding storage of spoiled food. Wash clothing and linens (bedding, towels). Ensure daily cleaning of furniture, kitchen, utensils, and equipment in the house-office and clinics. Prepare rooms in the house for visits to the Point of Care. Empty trash bins daily and wash them weekly. Ensure rooms are clean and organized for project-related visits. Wash and keep kitchenware (cups, glasses, etc.) orderly; ensure they are always clean and available. Ensure constant availability of bottled water, coffee, tea, napkins, and sugar; report shortages to the base logistician and direct supervisor as needed. Coordinate with the logistics department, if necessary, to ensure timely disposal of all waste. Perform periodic deep cleaning of various areas of the house-office or other locations where MSF operates. Inform supervisor promptly of any issues related to the house and/or materials and equipment used. Coordinate with the responsible person to ensure timely restocking of all supplies associated with the role (gas, water, cleaning materials, etc.). Conduct inventory of MSF kitchen utensils and linens (bedding, towels), reporting missing or damaged/defective items to the direct supervisor and base logistician. Prevent unauthorized persons from entering the house-office without prior authorization from coordination staff. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of residents of houses where work is performed, as well as MSF staff and any information handled. Report identified building maintenance needs to the logistics team. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Education and Training Basic literacy. Experience None required.
