Coordinate international goods importation under Maquiladora laws Description and details of responsibilities New company in Mexicali is looking for a high-energy, motivated team member, who is passionate about the procurement profession to fill an immediate opening as Planner/Buyer responsible for: * Purchase, follow up, and ensure accurate delivery of materials and services. * Review and react to MRP demand and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels. * Provide feedback to production on raw material availability and schedule. Expedite or defer as necessary to support production plan. * Build relationships with suppliers and manage them for on-time delivery (OTD), high quality, and service. * Process requisitions, place POs, and update management on status of orders. * Coordinate the importation of international goods into MX under Maquiladora laws and regulations. * Work with teams across US, Europe, and Asia to coordinate and leverage company’s purchases. * Assess risks of supplier performance. * Occasional travel to US. Experience and requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or technical related field preferred. * SAP expertise required and SAP S4/Hana version a plus. * 5+ years in buying, planning, other areas of supply chain or manufacturing control. * Strong manufacturing background. * Experience sourcing battery or industrial electrical materials a plus. * Excellent written and spoken English skills required. **Attach CV in English.
