**Job Description: Phlebotomist** **Area:** Clinical Laboratory **Position Type:** Operational – Patient Care **Modality:** On-site **Position Purpose:** Provide professional, respectful, and efficient care to patients during the processes of registration, biological sample collection, and result delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and confidentiality in handling information and samples. **Main Responsibilities:** * Receive and register patients according to established procedures. * Verify medical orders and prepare necessary materials for sample collection. * Perform blood, urine, or other fluid sample collections, ensuring aseptic techniques and patient comfort. * Correctly identify, label, and store samples for shipment or processing. * Provide clear and respectful information to patients regarding procedures and result delivery times. * Manage result distribution and refer inquiries to appropriate staff. * Maintain cleanliness, organization, and control of the work area. * Comply with biosafety, confidentiality, and personal data protection regulations. * **Requirements:** * Technical training or verifiable certification in phlebotomy, nursing, or related field. * Basic knowledge of customer service and computer systems. * Ability to interact kindly, empathetically, and respectfully with all individuals. * Commitment to quality, professional ethics, and teamwork.
