A company engaged in customs-related activities is seeking a Customs Broker. Experience: * At least 1 year in the position (preferred). * Experience in customs clearance procedures (preferred). Education: * High school diploma or technical degree. Responsibilities: * Accurately prepare prior reports; ensure that the quantities declared on the invoice match the physical quantities and that both the goods and their packaging are in good condition. * Properly seal boxes and/or packages using the company’s prior-report tape and monitor its correct usage. * Report discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages of goods to the customs agents’ supervisor and record them on the prior-report form. * Locate and register the transport vehicle at the customs facility. * Process and handle customs clearances before the relevant authorities at the customs office and comply with its internal regulations. * Promptly attend to customs inspections; report to the supervisor any discrepancies identified by the authorities during physical or documentary review; report when the shipment has been released from customs.
