Job Summary** The Test Engineer IV at Jabil, Inc. is a senior-level role responsible for the design, development, implementation, and optimization of complex test solutions for a wide range of electronic products. This individual will lead technical initiatives, provide expert guidance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable test systems that meet stringent customer and internal requirements. - Job Responsibilities** * Lead the entire lifecycle of test solution development, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, validation, and continuous improvement for highly complex products and systems. * Architect and design sophisticated test hardware (fixtures, interfaces) and software (test scripts, automation frameworks) using various programming languages (e.g., LabVIEW, C#, Python, TestStand). * Conduct in-depth analysis of product specifications, schematics, and design documents to identify critical test parameters and develop comprehensive test strategies. * Perform advanced debugging and troubleshooting of test systems, identifying root causes of failures in both hardware and software and implementing effective corrective actions. * Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level test engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. * Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, design engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of test solutions into the production process. * Evaluate and select appropriate test equipment, instrumentation, and software tools to optimize test coverage, cycle time, and cost. * Develop and execute thorough test plans, protocols, and reports, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal quality procedures. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test processes, methodologies, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. * Participate in design reviews (DFM, DFT) to provide expert input on testability and manufacturability aspects of new product designs. * Manage project timelines and deliverables for complex test development projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion. - Job Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred. * 8+ years of progressive experience in test engineering, with a significant focus on complex electronic products in a manufacturing environment. * Expert-level proficiency in developing automated test solutions using industry-standard tools and programming languages (e.g., National Instruments LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, Python). * Deep understanding of analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, RF principles, and various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet). * Extensive experience with a wide range of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators. * Proven ability to design and implement robust test fixtures and interconnect solutions. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying and resolving complex technical issues. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and influence technical direction. * Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for test yield improvement and defect reduction. * Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, assembly drawings, and technical specifications. * Experience with various manufacturing test strategies (ICT, FCT, burn-in, environmental testing).
