Academic Background: * Industrial, Environmental, or Safety Engineering; or related technical degree * Specialization or diploma in the following areas is desirable: * Industrial Safety and Hygiene * STPS regulations (applicable NOMs for the industry) * Civil Protection * Valid Industrial Safety Certifications DC3 (DC5 is desirable). Required Experience: * Minimum 1 year of experience in: * Implementing safety and hygiene systems from scratch * Compliance with NOMs such as NOM-001-STPS, NOM-002-STPS, NOM-004-STPS, NOM-005-STPS, etc. * Conducting audits and responding to government inspections * Developing internal civil protection programs and drills * Hazardous waste management and environmental logs (Annual Operating Permit, Waste Log, etc.) Technical Knowledge: * Labor legislation related to safety (Federal Labor Law, Regulations on Occupational Safety and Health) * Mexican Official Standards (NOM-STPS, NOM-SEMARNAT) * Safety management systems ISO 45001, environmental management systems ISO 14001 (desirable but not mandatory) * Risk mapping and activity-based risk analysis * First aid, emergency brigades, and industrial signage * Handling of chemical substances and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) * Field supervision experience and personnel management Responsibilities: * Initial safety conditions assessment * Coordination of: * Structural and electrical expert opinions * Internal Civil Protection Plan * Environmental notifications, waste generator registration (SEMARNAT) * Implementation of regulations: * Applicable NOMs (metal-mechanical industry, chemical handling, personal protective equipment, noise, ventilation, etc.) * Ongoing staff training * Coordination of drills and emergency brigades * Document management: logs, accident reports, investigations * Liaison with authorities: STPS We Offer: * Monthly net salary: $14,000–$20,000 net * Work schedule: Monday to Friday: 09:00–17:00 * Saturday: 09:00–12:00 * Work location: Taxqueña to Xochimilco area * All statutory benefits Position Type: Full-time Punctual, committed, and available to start immediately.
