Key Responsibilities: 1. Research and writing of news articles, features, and interviews. 2. Coverage of events and continuous contact with information sources. 3. Adaptation of content for web, social media, and print media. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Research, develop, and follow up on news articles, features, chronicles, and interviews. * Propose newsworthy topics aligned with the editorial agenda. * Cover events, conferences, press conferences, official ceremonies, and newsworthy incidents. * Conduct in-person, telephone, or virtual interviews with information sources. * Verify facts, figures, and statements to ensure accuracy of information. * Write clear, precise, and informative journalistic texts. * Adapt content for different platforms: web, social media, newsletters, and/or print. * Draft headlines, summaries, and descriptive subheadings when required. * Take supporting photographs and/or basic video footage when coverage demands it. * Maintain continuous contact with information sources and cultivate new ones. * Monitor trends, social media, and official sources to identify emerging news. * Follow up on developing stories and update information accordingly. * Meet deadlines and adhere to editorial guidelines. * Coordinate with editors, photographers, designers, and digital teams. * Fulfill news duty shifts when necessary. * Apply ethical and legal standards of journalistic practice. * Manage databases, documents, and files supporting research. * Participate in editorial meetings and content planning sessions. * Revise and adjust texts based on editorial feedback. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field. * Prior experience in news coverage (preferred). * Excellent writing and spelling skills. * Strong research and analytical abilities. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills. * Basic knowledge of photography and video (preferred). * Proficiency with digital tools, social media, and information search engines. * Flexible schedule and willingness to travel.
