**General Information:** **Position Responsibilities:** * Coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts. * Keep cost information updated in the IQMS system. * Investigate cycle count variances and generate corrective actions. * Maintain standard costs updated in the Bill of Materials. * Audit standard cost versus actual cost to correct discrepancies. * Validate cost of sales to ensure an accurate monthly close. * Accumulate and apply overhead costs in accordance with requirements and using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * In coordination with the Materials department, determine the location or disposition of obsolete material. * Perform analysis and determination of profit margin by product. * Periodically report variances and their root causes. * Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost accounting information and trends. **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting **Competencies:** * Responsible for providing financial information to management, conducting research, accounting data analysis, managing operating costs, raw material costs, variance analysis, Bill of Materials analysis, and standard cost. All activities aimed at generating an effective monitoring system and providing appropriate cost information for Management. Basic knowledge of IATF/ISO. * English proficiency at 80%. **Skills:** * Communication and negotiation skills * Leadership and management * Stress management and decision\-making * Project management **Experience:** * Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maquiladora/manufacturing industry. * Proficient in Microsoft Office.
