





Cook for the second shift at Otay Industrial Park **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * 1. Follow the food preparation checklist assigned by the head chef to fulfill the designated menu. * 2. Ensure all ingredients and food preparation materials are safe for consumption, verifying their organoleptic condition, shelf life, and other required characteristics. * 3. Ensure correct ingredients and seasonings are used in the required quantities during cooking. * 4. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing and disinfecting fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. * 5. Verify that kitchen assistants correctly perform their assigned tasks and activities. * 6. Conduct daily inspections of stored goods and raw materials to ensure compliance with the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method and confirm their good condition. * 7. Participate in menu development to suggest necessary improvements and modifications. * 8. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, including dishwashing and surface cleaning. * 9. Comply with sanitary, nutritional, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines. * 10. Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned. Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * 1 year of experience as a cook. * Experience preparing meals in an industrial cafeteria setting; personnel management skills; HACCP certification; GMP knowledge; NOM-251 compliance. * Inventory management. * Handling of perishable goods.
