Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization. **Position:** Procurement Assistant **Department:** Procurement / Supply **Position Objective** Ensure timely supply of materials, supplies, equipment, and services for construction projects, guaranteeing quality, competitive cost, and adherence to project schedules. **Functions and Responsibilities** · Manage procurement of construction materials (steel, cement, aggregates, finishes, electrical, plumbing, etc.). · Request, compare, and analyze supplier quotations. · Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery times, and warranties. · Issue purchase orders aligned with budget and project requirements. · Track purchase orders until delivery to warehouse or site. · Coordinate with site supervisors and superintendents. · Evaluate and develop reliable suppliers. · Verify that materials comply with technical specifications, regulatory standards, and project catalogs. · Compile and maintain procurement files (quotations, purchase orders). · Keep the supplier registry up to date. · Support procurement planning in accordance with the project schedule. · Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization. · Comply with internal procurement policies and administrative controls. **Required Profile** Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree in: · Civil Engineering · Architecture · Business Administration · Logistics **Experience** · Minimum 1 year as a buyer in the construction sector. · Proven experience in procurement of construction materials and services.
