Additionally, develops in-depth knowledge of origins, sensory profiles, and processing methods of specialty coffee to deliver a differentiated customer experience. **Functions and Responsibilities:** * **Roasting of Specialty Coffee:** * Carry out the roasting process following specific profiles that highlight the qualities of specialty coffee. * Monitor and adjust roasting variables (temperature, time, roast profile). * Evaluate roasted coffee quality through sensory cupping and profile analysis. * Maintain and calibrate roasting equipment to preserve product quality. * **Sales and Customer Service:** * Advise customers on different types and profiles of specialty coffee, their origins, sensory profiles, and brewing methods. * Promote and sell specialty coffee and related products, emphasizing their differentiated value. * Conduct sales, record transactions, and collect payments accurately. * **Specialty Coffee Knowledge:** * Possess thorough knowledge of profiles, origins, and production practices of specialty coffee. * Effectively communicate the benefits and characteristics of specialty coffee to customers. * **Inventory Management:** * Manage inventory of specialty green beans, supplies, and finished products. * Participate in procurement and restocking processes, ensuring stock quality. * **Cleaning and Maintenance:** * Keep the work area clean and organized. * Clean and maintain roasting and brewing machinery and equipment in good working condition. **Education:** * Knowledge of specialty coffee roasting and preparation processes. **Skills:** * Attention to detail and passion for specialty coffee. * Excellent communication and sales skills. * Ability to explain sensory profiles and coffee origins. * Proactivity, organization, and positive attitude. **Competencies:** * Technical expertise in roasting and equipment operation. * Customer orientation and persuasive skills. * Commitment to quality and sustainability of specialty coffee. * Prior experience in sales and customer service for premium products preferred.
