Coordinates software and OS maintenance with other IT disciplines **Position Summary:** The Business Systems Analyst / CAD Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration of the Company’s Computer‐Aided Design (CAD) systems and (CAE) Computer Aided\-Engineering systems. Oversees management of CAD functionality including user interface and response plans; installs, configures and implements software applications. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Maintain OEM CAD Software (CATIA V5, NX, 3DX), and OEM PLM/PDM Software (specifically Siemens TeamCenter); install upgrades and fixes as needed. * Maintain CAE software, workstations and CAE cluster instances. * Manages and fine\-tunes workstations, applies appropriate security patches and file management systems as needed * Troubleshoots software to ensure system problems are resolved. Proactively identifies potential issues and recommends/implements preventive solutions * Maintain CAD/CAE hardware for operating system and hardware issues; installs new client software on physical and virtual hardware * Attends CAD user group meetings and relevant training * Coordinates and/or performs software and operating system maintenance on CAD/CAE workstations and servers in close cooperation with other IT disciplines * Impacts quality and effectiveness of own work team and the work of others on the global team; works within guidelines and policies to achieve objectives and meet deadlines * Monitors application usage and make efficiency proposals for optimized landscape and license management * Participates in systems design specifications, including project scheduling and timelines * Handles calls for service (system problems/outages) during off‐duty hours if required * Builds knowledge of the company, products, processes, customers and supporting parties * Administers, maintains and evaluates CAD/CAE and related system software including database management and maintenance * Maintain CAD data exchange systems (e.g. Trubiquity, customer portals, etc.) * Provides informal guidance to new team members and IT resources as necessary * May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. **Education and Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management or related field preferred * Minimum of two years of computer experience including technical support in an environment with multiple systems * Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server, Linux and Microsoft Office * Outstanding written communication skills using both technical and non‐technical terminology. Ability to effectively document processes * Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills, including hardware, software and basic networking as well as cyber security * Ability to apply critical thinking and collaborative approaches to improving services and solving technical challenges * Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations; analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgement and precedents * Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills in order to relate well with a diverse group of end users, including co‐workers, public officials, member agencies, vendors and the general public. Must demonstrate professional demeanor and proper etiquette * Ability to explain moderately complex information to others * Strong working knowledge of Windows (Windows 11\) operating system on graphical workstations * Ability to install software, software patches, troubleshoot software issues and plotting devices for CATIA V5, Siemens NX, Solidworks and TeamCenter * Ability to install software, software patches, troubleshoot software issues for CAE software Altair HyperWorks Suite, Hexagon portfolio and others * General knowledge of CAD software such as CATIA V5, Siemens NX, 3DX and Solidworks * General knowledge of CAE software such as HyperWorks Suite and Hexagon portfolio * General knowledge of Trubiquity file transfer system, data transfer portals, networking, large format plotting devices * Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary **Work Environment/Work Conditions:** * Professional Office Environment * Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor * Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required * Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury * Activities are applicable for mobile work if coordinated and approved by manager Cooper Standard is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
