Position Summary: We are seeking a carpenter for maintenance, repair, and manufacturing of wooden components at a beachfront boutique hotel, with emphasis on protection against marine climate. Key Highlights: 1. Preventive and corrective maintenance of wooden furniture and structures 2. Manufacturing of decorative parts and elements 3. Specialized wood treatment against marine climate and salt corrosion **Location:** Beachfront boutique hotel, Holbox Island, Quintana Roo. **Main Responsibilities:** * **Preventive and corrective maintenance:** Repair and preservation of furniture, decks, pergolas, and wooden structures in guest and operational areas. * **Parts manufacturing:** Production of small-scale furniture or decorative elements according to the hotel’s aesthetic standards. * **Material treatment:** Application of varnishes, sealers, and specialized treatments to protect wood against marine climate and salt corrosion. * **Supply control:** Management of inventory for tools, hardware, and wood, ensuring efficient resource utilization and waste control. * **Safety and cleanliness:** Maintaining the workshop and intervention areas in perfect order and cleanliness, complying with safety regulations. **Requirements:** * **Minimum education:** Completed secondary school or technical high school diploma. * **Prior experience:** Proven carpentry experience is mandatory (preferably in hospitality or luxury finishes). * **Skills:** Expert handling of hand and power tools; knowledge of wood types and finishes. * **Attitude:** Proactivity, attention to detail, and excellent personal presentation. * **Preferred age:** 20 to 45 years old. **Working Conditions:** * **Base salary:** $12,000 MXN to 15,000 MXN monthly (bi-weekly payments on the 1st and 16th of each month, or the preceding business day).
