The Rolling Stock (trains) maintenance technician participates in both preventive activities (maintaining equipment in perfect working condition) and corrective activities (solving failures). Reports to the Workshop Manager or intermediate supervisor (supervisor, team leader) and is responsible for executing maintenance operations with strict adherence to defined processes, guaranteeing compliance with established service availability, reliability, and quality targets. The MR maintenance technician possesses general technical knowledge acquired through foundational training in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or related fields. All activities must be performed in strict compliance with occupational safety regulations, including legal requirements and Alstom's safety rules, in order to provide all our employees with an increasingly safe professional environment. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * Perform corrective and preventive maintenance operations on railway vehicles for which Alstom is authorized. This maintenance includes combined tasks in electronics, instrumentation, assembly, electrical work, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial refrigeration, etc., corresponding to the required profile. The operator must have sufficient capability to responsibly and reliably meet all job requirements. * Carry out reading, recording, and monitoring tasks according to detailed instructions during the maintenance process. Must receive, report, and input results of completed maintenance operations using paper documents or preferably electronic devices (tablet, computer), in order to keep the computerized database updated. Must be able to perform data entry tasks using software packages including word processors or similar tools, ensuring the quality of provided information (complete, accurate, precise). * Perform high\-quality maintenance work, conducting self\-inspections when required by work instructions. * Collect / measure data from the maintenance process, including quantitative information (distances, temperatures, humidity, cycle durations…) and qualitative information (wear, defects, anomalies, etc.), reported through standardized data templates. * Perform medium\-scale corrective repairs on railway equipment, requesting support from on\-site engineers or remote communication channels when necessary. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** **Basic Education** Higher or Intermediate Vocational Training or Technician degree, preferably specialized in Electromechanics or Mechatronics. **Additional Training** Knowledge and practical experience with electronic or electrical tools and instruments operating at low/medium/high voltage (up to 25kV). Tasks will involve facing similar situations where solutions require choosing among learned options. + Skilled in operating complex and specialized equipment and machinery. + Preferably holds railway training, knowledge level, and experience in a functional area, qualified to perform highly complex and specialized maintenance tasks on railway rolling stock.
