Ensure compliant, accurate trade documentation and broker instructions Your Job: As the Sr. Logistics Specialist (Import \& Export) , you will own end\-to\-end import and export logistics for Guadalajara Plant 1 , ensuring shipments\-especially machinery and equipment \-move legally, on time, and at a competitive cost . You will strengthen integration with internal teams and external partners (carriers and customs brokers) to remove roadblocks, reduce lead times, and protect the business from compliance and delivery risk. Our Team: You will join the Global Logistics organization and report to the Logistics Manager . This team works cross\-functionally with Operations, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, and external authorities to keep materials and equipment flowing and enable plant performance. What You Will Do: * Own daily import/export execution by coordinating with 3PLs, freight forwarders, parcel providers, and carriers (air, ocean, land), with emphasis on machinery/equipment moves . * Build strong, timely communication with customs brokers and carriers to anticipate constraints and keep shipments moving. * Keep internal stakeholders aligned through clear shipment visibility, updates, and exception management with Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, and Warehouse . * Protect on\-time performance by managing critical milestones and cut\-off schedules (loading, warehouse release, airport arrival, customs clearance, handoff to airline). * Ensure compliant, accurate trade documentation and broker instructions (e.g., proformas, packing lists, entries , machinery formats, pedimento review/approvals). * Generate and use logistics reports to drive continuous improvement in service, cost, and lead time , aligned with corporate carrier agreements and global strategies. * Act as a key local interface with government/customs authorities (SAT/Customs) to ensure regulatory compliance and business continuity. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications): * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Relations/Trade , or related field. * 2\-4 years of experience in import/export logistics in a manufacturing environment (electronics is a plus). * Hands\-on experience working with customs brokers (agencias aduanales) , carriers, and freight forwarders across multiple transportation modes. * Advanced English (oral and written) to communicate effectively with global partners and stakeholders. * Working knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping/compliance documentation. What Will Put You Ahead: * Experience coordinating shipments of high\-value machinery/equipment and time\-critical moves. * Knowledge of CTPAT and/or AEO programs. * Advanced Excel capability (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, SUMIF ) and strong reporting discipline. * Demonstrated ability to integrate quickly with cross\-functional teams and lead process improvements under pressure. * Strong negotiation skills with logistics providers and a proactive, ownership mindset.
