This role belongs to the Medical Affairs function and carries non-promotional medical-scientific responsibilities, providing scientific support for therapeutic area activities within the franchise to which it belongs. **How You Will Contribute:** ========================= * Through ethical and scientific exchange, build and maintain professional relationships with relevant external stakeholders—including primarily healthcare professionals, researchers, and medical associations—to expand Takeda’s research footprint and identify collaboration opportunities in advisory engagements and educational programs. * Ensure high levels of professionalism in developing one-on-one scientific relationships with leading KOLs in healthcare—including academics, payers, and governmental organizations—in alignment with the territory-specific strategic plan and KOL requirements, including managing strategic scientific collaborations and scientific exchange. * Provide scientific support to investigators involved in Takeda-sponsored clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, collaborative studies, and global development studies. * Serve as the liaison between healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Takeda’s Medical Affairs team. * Facilitate group or one-on-one scientific interactions with healthcare professionals. * Ensure healthcare professionals and key KOLs remain updated on scientifically relevant topics within the therapeutic area, facilitating better understanding of the pathology and ensuring knowledge for appropriate use of Takeda’s products to benefit patients. * Identify and prioritize scientific information gaps and evidence-generation needs among HCPs and KOLs through an appropriate interaction plan. * Maintain an up-to-date KOL Interaction Plan and ensure timely, ethical follow-up. * Contribute to the creation and implementation of Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs relevant to the therapeutic area. * Support the Access team in securing product inclusion across various health institutions by sharing relevant scientific literature and evidence for our medicines to facilitate informed decision-making. Additionally, you may support this effort by delivering non-promotional scientific presentations on diseases within the therapeutic area and on Takeda Mexico’s products to national, regional, or state-level institutions. * Actively participate in national or international congresses, as well as regional forums hosted by medical groups and associations, to facilitate CME-related scientific activities. Participation may also form part of your personal training and development plan. * Provide scientific support to internal stakeholders (e.g., business units, marketing, access, training), according to organizational needs, aiming to deepen understanding of pathologies and our medicines. * Communicate key insights from our KOLs/HCPs to help refine medical strategies and tactics. * Develop and implement Medical Affairs materials. * Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established by the Local Operating Company (LOC), aligned with SAM/Medical Affairs. * Actively collaborate in the development and delivery of training sessions for internal and external stakeholders, aligned with the Medical Plan and emerging needs driven by the therapeutic area strategy. **What You Bring to Takeda:** ============================ * Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or related Health Sciences fields. * Strong scientific knowledge. * Demonstrated experience in oral presentations and positive influence within the healthcare field. * Preferred experience in clinical, medical, and/or research settings within the relevant therapeutic area—such as a medical specialty or other postgraduate training. * Proficiency in English and ability to communicate effectively. * Minimum of 3 years’ prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). * Proficiency in office software (primarily PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), as well as various platforms for meetings and communication (Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.). * Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva or similar) is preferred. * General knowledge of systems, policies, and procedures common in the pharmaceutical industry. **What Takeda Offers You:** ============================ * Competitive Salary + Annual Performance Bonus * Monthly Food Vouchers * Flexible Work Arrangements * Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans: Life, Medical, Dental, and Vision * Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs * And other benefits… **More About Us:** ==================== At Takeda, we are transforming patient care through the development of innovative, specialized pharmaceutical products and best-in-class patient support programs.
