If you envision yourself as part of a team helping the global economy grow through our worldwide network of customers and terminals, we’d love for you to apply to our open positions! **What are the key responsibilities of this role?** * Manage an end\-to\-end account portfolio (commercial, operational, contractual, and customer experience), defining account plans with targets for volume, margin, retention, and share\-of\-wallet. * Identify organic growth and expansion opportunities (new routes, new commodities, new flows, new services, and cross\-selling). * Lead business reviews with key customers and ensure disciplined follow\-up on commitments. * Build and execute segment\-specific commercial strategies (Shipping Lines / BCO / Forwarders), aligned with network priorities, terminal capacity, intermodality, and financial objectives. * Translate market insights into commercial actions: value proposition, positioning, service portfolio, and pipeline. * Manage business requests, tenders (BIDs), rate requirements, and contracts, coordinating with Pricing, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service. * Serve as APM Terminals’ commercial representative at customer forums, chambers, associations, and sector events (port, logistics, international trade), strengthening reputation and commercial agenda. * Develop executive relationships with decision\-making and influencing stakeholders. * Own customer performance: NPS, complaints, and improvement plans; coordinate resolutions with Operations and Customer Service. * Maintain a robust pipeline, reliable forecast, and executive reporting on account performance. **What talent are we looking for?** Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA / Marketing / Supply Chain / International Business) preferred. Training and Competencies: * Basic knowledge of ISO 9001\-2015 and ISO 14001\-2015 standards. * Proficiency in CRM, commercial performance analysis, and value proposition development. * Customer orientation and results focus (volume \+ profitability). * Strategic thinking with disciplined execution. * Integrity, compliance, and contractual rigor. * Resilience, autonomy, and ownership of the commercial agenda. Experience: * Four years of experience, preferably in the shipping industry, logistics, or port terminal operations. * Demonstrable experience leading complex negotiations and tender processes (BIDs). * Prior knowledge and experience in sales, commercial functions, and intermodal operations. * Experience working with multiple internal and external suppliers. * Sales competencies, including negotiation skills.
