




**Traffic Coordinator – Freight Transportation** **Position Objective** Coordinate the daily operations of assigned transportation units, ensuring on-time loading and delivery, availability of drivers and equipment, and proper execution of routes. **Position Requirements** * Education: Technical degree in logistics; completed high school; or incomplete/bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, administration, or related fields. * Experience: * Minimum 1–2 years in operational roles within transportation or traffic coordination. * Preferred experience coordinating domestic or international freight routes. * Technical knowledge: * Proficiency in TMS systems such as GM Transport; basic/intermediate Excel skills. * Basic knowledge of transportation regulations and road safety standards. * Familiarity with logistics documentation: waybills, logbooks, and self-service delivery receipts. **Key Skills** * Strong organizational and detail-oriented follow-up abilities. * Ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations. * Capacity to work under pressure and collaboratively in teams. * Effective communication with drivers and other departments. * Geographic knowledge (national routes and estimated transit times). * Results-oriented focus (on-time shipments, fulfilled deliveries, efficient fleet and resource utilization). **Responsibilities** * Assign and coordinate trips based on daily scheduling and operational priorities. * Verify vehicle and driver availability prior to each service. * Confirm loading and unloading time windows with customers, yards, or plants. * Monitor vehicles in transit in real time, in coordination with monitoring systems. * Address and escalate in-route incidents (delays, mechanical failures, roadblocks, etc.). * Maintain continuous communication with drivers to ensure punctuality and compliance. * Enter data into GM Transport or similar systems (service status, evidence, logbooks, fleet performance metrics, trip expenses, driver settlements). * Coordinate with internal departments including Customer Service, Maintenance, Yards, Monitoring, and Settlements. * Ensure adherence to established operational and safety protocols. * Generate daily/weekly reports on performance and operational compliance. **Key Relationships** * Reports to: Traffic Manager. * Collaborates with: Monitoring, Customer Service, Maintenance, Settlements. * Directly supervises: Drivers assigned per trip. **Compensation** * Monthly salary: up to $23,564.70 before taxes + variable weekly bonus.
