The Workshop Equipment and Signaling Maintenance Technician participates in both preventive activities (keeping systems, overhead lines, and equipment in perfect working condition) and corrective activities (troubleshooting failures). They will report to the Systems Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Coordinator and will be responsible for executing maintenance operations with strict adherence to defined processes, ensuring compliance with established availability, reliability, and service quality indicators. The Workshop Equipment and Signaling Maintenance Technician possesses general technical knowledge acquired through foundational training in Telecommunications, Automation, Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields. All activities will be performed in strict compliance with occupational safety regulations, including legal requirements and Alstom's safety rules, in order to provide a continuously safer professional environment for all employees. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * Perform corrective and preventive maintenance operations on signaling systems (trackside, shelters, and trains), overhead lines, and workshop equipment within Alstom’s scope. This maintenance includes combined tasks involving electronics, instrumentation, assembly, electrical work, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial refrigeration, working at heights, etc., corresponding to the required profile. The operator must have sufficient capability to carry out all job requirements responsibly and with quality. * Carry out reading, recording, and monitoring tasks following detailed instructions during the maintenance process. Must receive, report, and input results of completed maintenance operations using paper documents or preferably electronic devices (tablet, computer) to keep the IT database updated. Must be able to perform data entry tasks using software packages including word processors or similar tools, ensuring the quality of provided information (complete, precise, accurate). * Perform high-quality maintenance, carrying out self-inspections when required by work instructions. * Collect/measure data from the maintenance process, including quantitative information (digital data, communication networks, distances, temperatures, humidity, cycle durations…) and qualitative information (wear, defects, anomalies, etc.), reported through standardized data templates. * Perform intermediate corrective repairs on railway equipment and workshop electrical machinery, requesting support from on-site engineers or those available via communication means when necessary. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** **Basic Education** Higher or Intermediate Vocational Degree or Technician level, preferably specialized in Telecommunications, Automation, or Electromechanics. **Additional Training** Knowledge and practical experience with electronic or electrical tools and instruments for low/medium/high voltage (up to 25kV). Proficiency with mechanical measuring tools (torque wrenches, calipers, gauges, vibration testers, etc.), electrical tools (multimeter, oscilloscope…), pneumatic tools (manometer…), and testing equipment for communication systems (network analyzer…) Basic computer skills (Windows, Office…) **Languages** **1 –** reads, speaks poorly, cannot follow a conversation **2 –** reads fluently, can express themselves, but comprehension is difficult **3 –** speaks and understands easily **4 –** very good knowledge **5 –** native language **LANGUAGES** **1** **2** **3** **4** **5** **Essential** **Desirable** SPANISH X X ENGLISH X X **Professional Experience Desired** Industrial maintenance experience, particularly in railway maintenance, medium/high voltage systems, mechanical systems, and industrial refrigeration. Tasks will involve recurring situations where solutions require selecting from learned experiences. + Skilled in operating complex and specialized equipment and machinery. + Preferably holds railway-specific training, knowledge, and experience in a functional area, qualified to perform highly complex and specialized maintenance on railway rolling stock.
