HOSPITAL AMERIMED MERIDA, a leading institution in healthcare services, is seeking a CLINICAL CHEMIST responsible for performing clinical and laboratory analyses with precision, ensuring the quality and reliability of results for healthcare delivery. Profile Requirements: Completed Bachelor’s degree with diploma and professional license – Clinical Chemist, Biological Chemist, or related field. Proven experience as a clinical chemist in clinical analysis within the hospital sector. Knowledge of laboratory techniques, handling of reagents, and specialized equipment. Basic knowledge of blood banks. Desirable: Experience in sample collection from pediatric patients and hospitalized patients. Familiarity with biosafety standards and good laboratory practices (GLP). Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and tools for result recording. Ability to interpret clinical results and prepare reports. Key Responsibilities: Perform clinical, biochemical, and hematological analyses according to established procedures. Ensure proper collection, identification, and handling of biological samples. Verify the quality and accuracy of laboratory results. Sample collection and retrieval. Participate in external quality control. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality. Comply with biosafety protocols and clinical waste management procedures. Record results in laboratory information systems (LIS). Support preparation of reports and documentation required for internal and external audits. Collaborate with medical staff for result interpretation when required.
