We are seeking a candidate for the **MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT** position. **JOB DESCRIPTION** * The Maintenance Technician Assistant will support daily maintenance area tasks. * Electrical equipment handling. Welding knowledge MIG welding Stick welding MIG and TIG welding Blueprint reading and forklift operator knowledge **Responsibilities** * • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery under the supervision of the Maintenance Engineer. * • Identify and report equipment and machinery failures or malfunctions to the Maintenance Engineer. * • Conduct tests and adjustments on equipment and machinery according to established procedures. * • Lubricate, clean, and adjust equipment and machinery in accordance with maintenance manuals. * • Replace worn or defective parts in equipment and machinery. * • Maintain a clean and safe work area. • Comply with industrial safety and hygiene standards. **Activities** * • Conduct visual and auditory inspections of equipment and machinery to detect potential failures or malfunctions. * • Read and understand equipment and machinery maintenance manuals. * • Use tools and measuring equipment to perform maintenance tasks. * • Follow established procedures for performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. * • Record information regarding performed maintenance tasks in logbooks or computerized systems. * • Participate in training and development programs related to equipment and machinery maintenance. **REQUIREMENTS:** * • Secondary education or equivalent. * • Minimum 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar position. * • Basic knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and electronics. * • Manual dexterity and skill in using tools and equipment. * • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. * • Good physical condition to perform manual tasks. * • Commitment to industrial safety and hygiene. **AUTHORITY** * • Line stoppage in case of occupational accident risk or machinery risk. * • Report any incident or occupational accident to the Maintenance Engineer and Coordinator. **BASIC SKILLS**: * Electricity * Hydraulics Employment type: Full-time Salary: Starting at $12,264.87 per month Benefits: * Educational support * Salary increases * Maternity leave exceeding legal requirements * Company parking * Employee referral program * Free uniforms * Grocery vouchers Work location: On-site employment
