Job Summary: A laboratory or workshop assistant who supports practical activities, academic program monitoring, and supply and equipment management, ensuring compliance with policies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assists in the preparation and management of laboratory materials. 2. Supports inventory control and incident reporting. 3. Participates in material and equipment quotation processes. GENERAL FUNCTION: Assists in activities related to laboratory or workshop practices, in accordance with CEUX criteria and policies, as well as those established by institutions regulating such activities, monitoring the proper implementation of each academic practice program and all entities involved in such practices. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepare materials to be used during practices. 2. Maintain a clean workspace. 3. Properly safeguard supplies required for each practice. 4. Assist in managing services for collection of biological, infectious, and fumigation-related waste, as applicable, in each laboratory or workshop. 5. Calculate materials and reagents required per academic year. 6. Manage inventory of equipment and materials for each laboratory or workshop. 7. Report incidents or malfunctions of laboratories and workshops to the Laboratory Head. 8. Collaborate with the Laboratory and Workshop Head in material and equipment quotation processes. ***Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Administration or related field. ***Experience:*** *Minimum of 6 months in a similar position.* Experience in document filing, writing, and personal and telephone customer service. Flexible availability of working hours. ***Knowledge:*** Microsoft Office 365 suite. Writing and spelling proficiency.
