Leading audit processes and supporting tax reporting ### **Summary** Supporting the company within a country with complex analyses, reports, forecasts, etc. (typically very high to high revenue) and providing subject-matter expertise consulting within an FRA\-core process/\-area/\-technology ### **About the Role** Major Accountabilities \~ Ensuring operational implementation of strategic financial objectives within a specific business area and monitoring performance and development of a small team of FRA\-specialists. \~ Ensuring integrity, feasibility, and interoperability of financial reporting processes (actual data, budgets, and latest estimates) and \-systems, including tax, inventory, and corporate controls, as well as payment and procurement data. \~ Leading and executing fundamental reporting for actual data and forecasts, ensuring high quality and fastest possible closure. \~ Providing finance accounting services and \-data in a timely and accurate manner, including fixed assets, cash activities, and disposal activities; ensuring appropriate information is provided to relevant individuals and external entities. \~ Leading audit processes and supporting compliance with various tax-related reports (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax); all data for internal and external authorities. \~ Leading and automating the delivery of routine information to local users from SAP and BW, and assuming Superuser responsibilities for Finance and Controlling modules in SAP. \~ Monitoring the development and maintenance of current reporting systems (SAP, BW, Excel); integrating other requirements and evolving organizational needs so that processes for reporting actual data, budgets, latest estimates, and medium-term plans are cost-effective and responsive. \~ Preparing ad\-hoc and routine accounting/management and high-quality financial analyses to meet global and organizational requirements. \~ Reporting technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis\-products within 24 hours of receipt \~ Distribution of marketing patterns (if applicable) Key Performance Indicators \~ Internal customer satisfaction with the quality, relevance, and timeliness of delivered financial analyses \~ Customer satisfaction regarding service delivery and process-specific KPIs according to agreed SLAs Work Experience \~ Operations management and execution \~ Leadership qualities \~ Functional breadth Skills \~ Understanding value drivers \~ Critical thinking \~ Ability to influence key stakeholders \~ Effective communication \~ Process optimization \~ Building effective teams \~ Talent development \~ Financial accounting \~ Financial and management reporting \~ Resource allocation Language English **Why Novartis:** Helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science.
