Conducts MSA studies and trains personnel on measurement equipment ***Job Description*** The Metrology Technician is responsible for the dimensional validation of tools, parts and/or components produced by the company or supplied by vendors, ensuring full compliance with all safety and quality requirements/regulations. ***Primary Responsibilities:*** * Performs required dimensional inspections at the Mexicali plant, whether on raw materials or finished products. * Performs ballooning of drawings required for each dimensional study. Analyzes engineering drawings of parts and/or components to be dimensionally inspected. * Develops programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). * Prepares dimensional reports according to the established format. * Conducts annual dimensional layout studies required by customers. * Conducts MSA studies, Attribute R&R, Variable R&R, and destructive testing MSA. * Trains personnel on the use of measurement equipment as needed. * Maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables required in the area. \* ***Requirements*** * **Proficiency in measurement equipment**, such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and measurement gages. Profilometers. **CMM programming and operation** * **Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for drawing interpretation** * Knowledge of measurement standards * Oracle usage desirable * Lean manufacturing knowledge desirable * Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * **Gage R&R knowledge** * Intermediate English * **Shift availability (2nd shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM)** * Minimum 2 years of experience as a metrologist in the maquiladora industry, preferably automotive. * Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality (Inspection/Technician) Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $650.00 - $750.00 per day Experience: * Inspector or Quality Technician: 2 years (Mandatory) * Metrology: 1 year (Mandatory) Language: * English (Desirable) Work Location: On-site employment
