A telecommunications company focused on applying new technologies to generate a new, profitable and productive business experience for its customers is seeking new talents to join its team. **Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer – Internal Plant** *Main Activities:* * **Optical Fiber Deployment – Internal Plant**: 1\. Execute optical fiber deployment in internal plant and vertical cabling within buildings. 2\. Perform interconnections within DFO / ODF, racks and cabinets. 3\. Install and organize patch cords, pigtails and splice trays. 4\. Ensure proper handling of optical connectors (LC, SC, MPO/MTP). 5\. Validate compatibility and installation of optical modules (SFP, SFP\+, QSFP, CFP2\). * **Testing and Validation** 1\. Perform optical fiber tests: Optical power measurement, OTDR for link validation, connector inspection and cleaning. 2\. Interpret results and report deviations. 3\. Validate links prior to operational release. * **Building Maintenance (Technical Infrastructure)**. 1\. Execute and coordinate preventive and corrective building maintenance related to: Telecommunications infrastructure, conduits, racks and cable trays, technical areas and communications rooms. 2\. Support site maintenance activities (organization, cleaning, continuity). 3\. Report failures, risks or intervention requirements. * **Supervision and Operations** 1\. Supervise vendors and contractors during on-site work. 2\. Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices. 3\. Maintain up-to-date operational documentation (logs, reports, evidence). 4\. Direct communication with internal departments for operational coordination. *Required Technical Knowledge:* * Single-mode and multimode optical fiber. * DFO / ODF / Patch Panels. * Optical connectors and splices. * Optical modules and compatibility (SFP, SFP\+, QSFP, CFP2\). * Optical fiber testing (OTDR, power measurement, VFL, connector inspection and cleaning). * Building infrastructure, vertical cabling and technical rooms. * Best practices for sites and data centers. * Basic knowledge of active equipment, such as: **OLT** (port identification, physical validation of uplink and downlink links), **ONT** (connection, basic status check and optical link validation), and **Routers and switches** (identification of optical and electrical ports, physical connection and basic link validation). *Skills:* * Operational and execution-oriented profile. * High sense of responsibility. * Ability to work on-site. * Organization and activity tracking. * Attention to detail. * Valid driver’s license. *Education:* * Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering or related field. *Desired Experience:* * 1 year or more deploying optical fiber in internal plant. * Experience maintaining building infrastructure. * Work in corporate environments, data centers or high-availability buildings.
