A prominent company in the Electric Generators sector is seeking a diesel mechanic. **Professional Profile and Requirements:** * **Experience:** Typically 2–3 years working with heavy-duty diesel engines, heavy machinery, or fuel injection systems. * **Education:** Mechanical technician, electromechanical technician, or related engineering degree. * **Technical Competencies:** Accurate fault diagnosis, interpretation of diagrams and manuals, proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and scanners to identify electronic and mechanical issues. * **Soft Skills:** Proactive, organized, safety-oriented, capable of working under pressure, and possessing strong communication skills with customers. **Main Responsibilities:** * **Corrective and Preventive Maintenance:** Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, filter replacements, and engine repairs. * **Diagnosis and Repair:** Resolve malfunctions in brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems (common rail), and electrical systems. * **Field or Workshop Work:** Inspect and repair units both at fixed workshops and at the site of failure. * **Documentation:** Record service reports, time spent, and parts used. **Work Environment:** This is typically a physically demanding job involving handling heavy components and working in confined spaces.
