




Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and analytical Staff Accountant to lead accounting and financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial information and compliance with tax regulations. Support strategic decision-making **Position Objective:** We seek a proactive and analytical **Staff Accountant** to lead and supervise the company’s accounting and financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, compliance with tax obligations, and generation of strategic reports to support decision-making. **Key Responsibilities:** * **General Accounting:** Accurately and timely record, classify, and summarize all the company’s financial transactions. * **Bank Reconciliations:** Perform and monitor monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts. * **Payroll:** Supervise and/or execute payroll calculation and disbursement, related taxes, and contributions to IMSS and INFONAVIT. * **Tax Obligations:** Accurately and timely prepare, calculate, and file monthly (VAT, Income Tax) and annual (Annual Tax Return) declarations with SAT. * **Accounts Payable and Receivable:** Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring optimal cash flow. * **Inventory:** Control and reconcile inventory, performing necessary accounting adjustments. * **Financial Reporting:** Generate monthly financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) for management. * **Audits:** Coordinate and serve as the primary liaison for external and internal audit processes, providing required documentation. * **Budgeting:** Collaborate in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s annual budget. * **Regulatory Compliance:** Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure compliance with Mexican tax, labor, and financial laws (NIF, CFF, LISR, LFT). * **Academic Qualifications:** **Desired Competencies:** * **High professional ethics and confidentiality** in handling sensitive information. * **Organization and meticulousness** to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy. * **Analytical ability and problem-solving skills.** * **Teamwork and strong communication** to interact effectively across departments. * **Proactivity**, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Bachelor’s degree and Professional License (**MANDATORY**) in Public Accounting, Finance, or related field. * **Experience:** * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role such as General Accountant, Staff Accountant, or Head of Accounting. * Solid experience applying Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and the Mexican tax framework. * Experience managing end-to-end corporate accounting. * **Essential Technical Knowledge:** * **Advanced Excel proficiency** (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). * Expert-level ERP accounting system experience (e.g., CONTPAQi, SAP, SIAP, Oracle, etc.). * In-depth knowledge of SAT (portal, electronic invoicing CFDI, tax mailbox). * Experience calculating and issuing CFDI Payroll Receipts.
